Together with Kassen Merkl GmbH, the leading European provider of software solutions for cash logistics and POS has now developed a POS display that can be operated optimally and without complex configuration even by people with impaired vision. The "ITR KASSE" POS solution offers employees with special needs a clearly designed checkout interface with the most important functions for bakeries, such as

• quick product search
• simple product maintenance
• allocation of discounts and offers

for a clear payment process.

ALVARA | Digital Solutions and Kassen Merkl designed the interface and buttons to be large, clear and high-contrast in primary and complementary colors to meet the needs of the visually impaired. The design of the checkout display can be customized.

"To ensure the best possible implementation, we worked closely with a workshop for the disabled, which helped us to define the requirements. This enabled us to adapt the checkout display to meet the needs of a wide range of visually impaired people," explains ALVARA | Digital Solutions Managing Director Steven Schwarznau. The checkout process can now be completed quickly, easily and efficiently. The clear, optimized and intuitive user interface of the tailor-made checkout solution saves employees time and reduces queues at the counter. "People with disabilities have the same opportunities on the labor market. We are pleased to be able to make a contribution to equal rights for all employees with this solution.
